1. Use of Cookies
The Nutrition Resource Centre and its affiliated projects use cookies on their web sites to track general user trends and patterns.

A cookie is a small piece of information that a web site stores on your computer. It is retrieved automatically whenever you return and some of its contents are stored in log files that are then used to generate periodic statistical reports. These reports help us to evaluate and improve our web sites by tracking global indicators such as the total number of visitors, total pages viewed, most popular documents retrieved, etc.

Most browsers are initially set up to accept cookies. You can reset your browser to refuse all cookies or to alert you when one is being sent. However, some parts of the Nutrition Resource Centre's web site, and affiliated projects' web sites, may not work properly if you choose not to accept cookies. For additional information on cookies, see the Help instructions on your browser.

2. Collection and Use of Personal Information
While visiting the web sites of the Nutrition Resource Centre and its affiliated projects, you may be invited to join listservs and enter information into databases. The information gathered in these listservs and databases is collected on a voluntary basis. Personal identifying information you choose to post on the listservs or in the databases is stored online and may be accessible to anyone on the Internet. Although the use of this information is subject to strict guidelines and, in some cases, is password-protected, we cannot guarantee that all visitors will abide by the guidelines of use. If you encounter a problem, please contact us immediately.

NRC and its affiliated projects do not sell, rent, lease, or lend any personally identifying information to outside organizations or groups. In the exceptional case of a request by law enforcement authorities to view our web site's log files, no attempt at identifying individual visitors to our site will occur unless a judicial order is received as well.

3. Use by Youth
We encourage people of all ages to participate in our listservs or register for our databases. However, we request that individuals under the age of 18 obtain permission from a guardian or parent before they sign up for any of our listservs or register in the NRC, or its affiliated projects, databases.

Throughout the site, visitors are given an opportunity to provide us with feedback through our Contact Us page. When you provide us with feedback, we will not share your name with others. We will try our best to ensure that your confidentiality is protected.
